What should I wear to the wedding day?

Ladies - Please dress to impress! This is a formal event. The Bride would love to see all her favorite ladies in colorful dresses. We have attached a link below for inspiration. The colors of the wedding are black and white. Please refrain from wearing black or white. The bridesmaids will all be wearing black. Think color, color, color! The Bride would love to see you in your best. This can include tea length dresses, floor length dresses, and long cocktail dresses. Please refrain from wearing short cocktail dresses.

Men - Please dress to impress! This is a formal event. The Bride and Groom would love to see you in a tux or suit. The preferred colors for tuxes/suits would be darker colors. Think navys, blacks, dark browns, etc. We have attached a link below if you need some inspiration. Please refrain from jeans or boots.

What time is the ceremony starting?

The ceremony will promptly be starting at 4:30 pm. Please arrive at The War Memorial between 3:30 pm - 4:00 pm to get a seat. We have many loved ones joining us, so please arrive early to get a spot. Unfortunately if you arrive late you will have to join us at the cocktail hour. No one will be allowed into the ceremony space past 4:15 pm. Please arrive on time.

Will there be transportation to and from the hotel?

Unfortunately there will be no transportation to and from the Hotel. Please plan accordingly for arriving and departing The War Memorial. Options for transportation can include Uber or Lyft if needed. Downtown Detroit is approximately 20 minutes away from The War Memorial.

Will there be parking available at The War Memorial?

Yes! Parking is available in front of The War Memorial. War Memorial does allow to have cars stay over night if needed. They do ask that our guests pick up their cars by 10:00 am the next day. If you are planning to leave your car overnight please plan accordingly to pick it up before 10:00 am Sunday morning!

Friday Night Plans?

For our friends and family coming on Friday, the couple intends to head up to the rooftop bar at The Cambria Hotel later that evening around 7:00 pm for a few drinks. If you’re around, you’re welcome to swing by and say hi. It’s very laid-back, so feel free to come and go as you like. This is an casual gathering. No specific dress code is required, but if you need ideas click the link below. Ladies think summer dresses and for the Men polos, jeans, or khaki pants is perfectly fine. Adults Only Event

Are there Hotel Blocks available?

Unfortunately the date to reserve rooms for our hotel block has passed (July 4th) at The Cambria. If you would like to still reserve a room at The Cambria to join the bride and groom please visit our travel page that has more information. If you’d like to stay at other hotels we do have a list on that page with other options.

I am flying in what airport should I use?

The Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW) would be the closest airport to the hotel and venue. The drive from the airport to downtown Detroit is approximately a 22 minute drive. If you need more information on this please visit our travel page.

Are children invited to the Wedding Day?

Unfortunately this is an adult only weekend event. Even though we love all the kiddos, we want moms and dads to have a night out with us! Bring those dancing shoes!

Can I bring a plus one?

We would love to invite everyone we can, but unfortunately if your invite did not specify a plus one we will not have room for them.
